Steinel PROlog

These are questions that confront us on a daily basis and we can choose to provide different answers. The most accurate of which is using the method of measure and calculate the energy consumption and occupancy pattern.
The Steinel PROLog is a measuring instrument that operates on batteries without the necessity of using mains power and can be positioned very easily and unobtrusively below the ceilings at various important points in a building. It records approximately 400,000 measurement readings of actual usage and lighting over a period of few days to one month. The data measured is then entered into PROLog software suing the USB cable.
In the software, it can be seen both the actual and ideal value in black and white. All measured area can be stored and planned in this software. Using additional data such as lamp wattage, energy tariffs etc makes it possible to provide the projection of total savings over the next few years.
About 19% of the energy used world-wide goes on lighting. This equates to an annual demand of about 2,650 terrawatt-hours. Much of this gigantic amount is wasted - partly by leaving lights switched ON unnecessarily.
With sensor technology from STEINEL, wasting this resource is a thing of the
past: Light comes ON automatically when you enter a room. And switches OFF again when you leave. Whats more, using low-energy lamps with our sensor lights is not a problem either. This way, lighting from STEINEL helps to save huge quantities of energy, CO2 emission and costs.
