Occupancy & Motion Sensors

A sensor is a device that measures a physical quantity and converts it into a signal which can be read by an observer or by an instrument

Types of sensors are as follows:

  • Passive infrared sensors (PIR)

Passive infrared sensor also known as motion detectors is an electronic controller / device which detect the human body temperature. The specialty of this sensor is that, it responds to heat radiated from moving persons and use this ability, for example, to switch a light ”ON” and, after a selectable period of time, ”OFF” again.

  • High Frequency Sensors

High frequency sensor is an electronic controller which contains a Transmitter and receiver. Transmitter transmits a wave and that wave is reflected by moving object in front of the sensor range. Receiver senses the reflected wave and generates Normally Open output of sensor. High Frequency sensor is a simply motion detector it will sense any kind of motion i.e, human being, window movement, etc.

Steinel Germany manufactures technology for people: intelligent lights and sensors that make our lives safer and easier.

Made by STEINEL stands for user friendliness, great value for money and, whats more important, a long service life. This is how we have become market leader from our early pioneering days back in 1959. Today, Steinel develops and manufactures products of world renown at 6 locations in Europe with German Quality.

For us, ensuring that this benchmark is met though all stages of production means:
In-house research and development with tool-making and prototype construction.
  Production at 6 European sites.
In-house production of electronics, plastics and injection mouldings.
Quality management system certified to DIN EN ISO 9001 and products that carry all of the relevant test marks.
Development of start-to-finish sales concepts, including presentation and merchandising.
Internal warehouse logistics, from order picking to just-in-time shipment world-wide.
  Field support, service hot line.

Steinel has its parent plant at Herzebrock, the Group embraces a further five modern, efficient STEINEL production sites. Focused on Central Europe and meeting high quality standards, these production facilities with over 1000 staff satisfy the specific needs of a growing international market.

The STEINEL DIY and professional range offers the right sensor for every situation.

STEINEL offers professional quality and reliability in motion sensors & motion sensor lights.

Motion sensor lighting controls provide convenience, security, and energy savings. Models include motion sensors, motion sensors with lights, garage lights, post lantern sensors and wall lantern sensors for out door usage and ceiling light sensors, occupancy sensors, motions sensor lighting switch for indoor usage.

Motion Sensors detect people and cars and turn lights on automatically when they are needed. For more, information on how motion sensors work and which motion sensor product is right for you
